With seven marimbas and a ton of percussion, you’ll be jamming with friends in no time. Robin, a master of rhythm and fun, will guide you, no matter your experience level. By the end, you’ll be part of a real marimba band, playing a song together! It’s all about building confidence, community, and rhythm. JUNO-nominated percussionist Robin Layne has spent over 15 years immersing himself in rhythmic traditions worldwide, from Cuba to Mali and Mexico. His travels inspire his dynamic compositions, blending global influences into a vibrant musical experience. Passionate about connecting people through rhythm, Robin teaches at the Sarah McLachlan School of Music and directs the World Rhythms for Youth Society. A sought-after performer, he tours internationally and plays with Robin Layne & the Rhythm Makers, Locarno, and The BC World Music Collective, lighting up stages with his infectious energy.
